Ponto Charcoal

About this fabric

The woven face combines narrow charcoal and pale grey-beige lines, with subtle tonal variation that gives the stripe a lightly textured, tactile finish. At 222gsm and with a 138cm usable width, it is a versatile mid-weight textile suited to both upholstery and drapery. The vertical pattern repeat is 0cm, while the horizontal repeat is 7.5cm, keeping the linear design easy to align across widths. Its cool charcoal depth reads smart and understated rather than stark, making the colourway particularly effective where a dark neutral is needed without a solid, flat appearance.

How to use it

Use Ponto Charcoal on a tailored armchair, bench or full-length curtains where its cool charcoal striping can sharpen softer stone, putty and pale grey furnishings. Pair it with matt black or brushed metal details to echo the fine dark lines without overwhelming the muted ground.

A versatile mid-weight stripe with cool charcoal lines and a softly textured grey-beige ground.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ponto Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
