Kauai Charcoal

Exotica FabricCCF0386-02

Kauai Charcoal has a deep, cool charcoal ground softened by olive and brown-grey highlights within its tightly woven surface. The small, basket-like texture gives the cloth quiet depth while keeping the colourway visually restrained.

About this fabric

This is a substantial 549gsm woven fabric with a compact, even texture visible across the swatch. Its charcoal tone reads almost black in the deeper threads, while muted olive-grey flecks catch the light and prevent the surface from looking flat. With a 134cm usable width, a 40m standard length and no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, it is well suited to upholstery projects where a continuous, non-directional texture is useful. The dense weave gives Kauai Charcoal a smart, durable-looking presence without a printed motif.

How to use it

Use Kauai Charcoal on a sofa, armchair or dining seat where its deep olive-charcoal tone can anchor warm timber, aged brass and softly contrasting natural shades. Its subtle woven variation also works well as a grounded neutral alongside patterned cushions.

A dense, substantial charcoal upholstery weave with olive-brown highlights that add depth without introducing a formal motif.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
