Kauai Citron
Exotica FabricCCF0386-03
Kauai Citron is a dense, finely textured textile in a muted citron yellow, with a softly olive cast that gives the colour more depth than a bright lemon shade. Its surface is made up of tiny, closely spaced woven details that catch the light without forming a bold motif.

About this fabric
With a weight of 549gsm, Kauai Citron has the substantial presence expected of an upholstery fabric. The close micro-texture combines a citron ground with small pale woven flecks, creating a restrained geometric effect across the surface rather than a printed pattern. It is supplied at a usable width of 134cm and has a 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, making the texture straightforward to position on a piece of furniture. The warm, slightly softened yellow reads as grounded and versatile, with the weave adding quiet visual depth.
How to use it
Use Kauai Citron on a chair, ottoman or sofa where its muted yellow tone can warm a neutral scheme without becoming overly vivid. Pair it with chalky whites, natural timber or olive accents to draw out its softly earthy cast.
Use this muted citron upholstery cloth to bring warm yellow depth to seating while its fine woven texture keeps the look considered.

Pairs well with
Kauai Citron is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
