Hortus Chartreuse

Eden FabricCCF0385-03

Hortus Chartreuse places finely illustrated oak leaves, berries, butterflies and branching sprigs over a saturated mustard-chartreuse ground. The dark outlines and softly greyed foliage give the colourway a richly layered, hand-drawn appearance.

About this fabric

The woven surface has a fine, even texture, allowing the warm chartreuse-yellow background to remain clear beneath the botanical artwork. Oak leaves and smaller leafy stems are rendered in chalky cream, olive, grey and charcoal tones, while tiny butterflies add scattered accents of pattern. This 228gsm fabric has a 138cm usable width, with a 60cm vertical repeat and 33.8cm horizontal repeat. It is supplied in a standard 30m length, making the design practical to plan across coordinated upholstery or drapery applications.

How to use it

Pair this warm, slightly earthy chartreuse with natural timber, olive upholstery and soft cream accents, using it on a statement chair, roman blind or relaxed curtain. The charcoal drawing and muted foliage prevent the yellow ground from feeling overly bright.

Use the mustard-chartreuse ground to bring warmth and character to upholstery, cushions or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
