About this fabric

Ophelia Charcoal/Ochre places sweeping, feathered botanical forms across a warm cream ground, with charcoal outlines and shaded leaves punctuated by ochre stems, buds and fine tendrils. The large repeat measures 63 cm vertically by 67.5 cm horizontally, allowing the plume-like arrangement to read as a strong surface pattern rather than a small all-over. At 228 gsm and 138 cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight textile suited to upholstery and drapery. The charcoal ink-like detailing gives the ochre accents a cooler, graphic edge, while the cream background keeps the dense foliage open.

How to use it

Use the warm cream ground to brighten a seating scheme, then echo the ochre leaves in cushions, piping or brass details. Charcoal-painted furniture or deep grey upholstery will reinforce the design’s finely drawn contrast.

Pair the warm cream ground with charcoal upholstery or drapery, using ochre accents to pick up brass, timber or muted gold tones.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
