About this fabric

The close-up shows a fine, even weave with subtle tonal variation rather than a printed or woven motif, so the pattern repeat is 0 cm vertically and horizontally. At 290 gsm, this is a versatile mid-weight textile that can work for both upholstery and drapery. The 140 cm usable width supports practical cutting, while the standard length is 40 m. Slate blue-grey fibres catch the light gently, creating depth without making the surface appear shiny.

How to use it

Use Highlander Slate to bring a cool, composed note to an armchair, sofa or headboard, pairing it with chalky whites, pale timber and deeper charcoal accents. Its quiet plain texture also makes it effective for relaxed full-length curtains where a softly textured blue-grey is preferred over a patterned cloth.

The cool slate blue-grey tone and fine woven texture suit tailored upholstery, cushions and understated curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
