Empire Mineral layers stepped geometric bands in mineral grey, taupe and ivory, with a distinctive muted teal stripe running through the centre of the design. Its dense, softly textured weave gives the colourway a grounded, tactile presence.

About this fabric

The pattern is formed from repeated, pixel-like zigzags and softened chevrons, rather than crisp printed lines, creating visible depth across the surface. Cool grey and warm taupe bands sit against an ivory ground, while the desaturated teal provides a controlled band of colour instead of overwhelming the neutral palette. At 566gsm, this is a substantial fabric well suited to upholstery and tailored seating. The 137cm usable width and 25m standard length support practical cutting, while the pattern repeats every 24cm vertically and 8.5cm horizontally.

How to use it

Pair Empire Mineral with pale oak, chalky painted timber and warm taupe upholstery accents to echo its quiet neutrals. Use the muted teal band as the colour cue for cushions, piping or a small painted detail.

Use this substantial geometric weave to bring mineral neutrals and a measured teal accent to tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
