About this fabric

The design combines feathery fern leaves, upright stems and small rounded leaf clusters, with shades ranging from bright spring green to deeper forest green. At 326 gsm, the fabric has a substantial mid-weight presence suited to both upholstery and drapery. It has a 137 cm usable width and a 40 m standard length, while the botanical arrangement repeats every 68.5 cm vertically and horizontally. The cream foundation allows the darker green foliage to read with crisp contrast rather than a heavy, shadowed effect.

How to use it

Use Bracken Forest to bring a fresh garden note to a relaxed sitting room, pairing its cream and fern-green palette with warm wood, chalky neutrals or natural linen. On a chair, cushion or full-length curtain, the 68.5 cm repeat gives the foliage room to show clearly.

Pair the cream ground and varied fern greens with natural timber, woven textures and soft neutral upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bracken Forest without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
