Artus Denim/Ochre

Marianne Fabric FabricCCF0691-01

Artus Denim/Ochre presents a sequence of framed botanical scenes in deep denim blue, blue-green foliage and small ochre flowers. The softly atmospheric panels are separated by dark, decorative borders that give the design a distinctly collected feel.

About this fabric

The fabric shows alternating rectangular garden panels, with pale misty backgrounds behind layered teal foliage, yellow-ochre blooms and darker blue-green stems. Its 326gsm weight gives the printed textile a substantial presence suited to upholstery, while the 137cm usable width provides practical coverage. The botanical repeat measures 91.4cm vertically by 68.5cm horizontally, so each framed scene reads as a prominent feature rather than a small scattered motif. Cool denim and inky teal create depth across the ground, while the ochre flowers add a restrained warm contrast.

How to use it

The cool, dark denim-teal ground works especially well on a reading chair, footstool or headboard, with ochre cushions or aged brass nearby to pick up the flowers. Centre the framed panels across the upholstery so the individual garden scenes remain visible.

Use this cool denim-teal botanical on an occasional chair or statement ottoman, pairing it with warm ochre accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
