Colefax and Fowler

Gallica Old Pink/Beige

Colefax Classics II Fabric01072-06

Gallica Old Pink/Beige pairs a softly aged beige ground with generous sprays of rose-pink florals and fresh green foliage. The overall effect is gentle and elegant, with the pattern sitting clearly against the pale background rather than feeling crowded.

About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler fabric is 100% cotton and measures approximately 133cm wide, with a vertical repeat of 66cm in a half-drop and an approximate horizontal repeat of 55cm. The cloth reads as a classic decorative textile with a smooth, natural cotton handle, suitable for either upholstery or drapery depending on the project. In this colourway, the beige ground has a warm, slightly creamy cast that allows the old pink blossoms to stand out without becoming overly bright. Soft sage and leaf greens, touches of pale blue, and small warm accents keep the floral design lively while still restrained. The result is a poised, traditional print that feels lighter than a deep rose scheme and more romantic than a plain neutral.

How to use it

Use it for curtains, cushions, or an accent chair where the warm beige-pink ground can soften darker woods and painted finishes. It works especially well in rooms that need a floral with enough colour to add interest, but not enough contrast to feel busy.

A warm, graceful floral for tailored curtains or statement upholstery in a calm traditional scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Gallica Old Pink/Beige without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
