About this fabric

Foss Oatmeal from Colefax and Fowler’s Foss Linen II is woven in 100% linen and comes in an approximate width of 138cm, with vertical and horizontal repeat both at 0cm. The swatch reads as a warm, pale oatmeal with a creamy beige cast, lifted by tiny irregular nubs and the natural slub of the linen yarn. Its surface has a dry, understated handle that gives the colour a quiet matte softness rather than a polished finish. With no repeat to interrupt it, this colourway is especially suited to clean-lined interiors where texture does the work.

How to use it

Use this oatmeal linen for loose covers, simple curtains or Roman blinds when you want a neutral that still feels tactile. It sits beautifully with timber, limestone and muted taupe upholstery, keeping a room light without looking stark.

A quietly textured neutral that layers easily with oak, stone and soft chalk whites.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
