Mambo Ivory

Nova FabricL9499-01

Mambo Ivory shows a softly textured ivory ground lifted by fine vertical stripes in warm neutrals, charcoal and muted tan. The effect is crisp but gentle, with the pattern reading clearly without overpowering the fabric.

About this fabric

Woven in 77% linen and 23% cotton, this textile has the dry, natural handle you expect from a linen-rich fabric, with enough body to sit neatly in both upholstery and drapery applications. The design uses repeated narrow stripes, with tiny dotted and ladder-like lines in black, taupe and warm brown set against the pale ivory background. At approximately 135cm wide, it offers a practical format for upholstery pieces and curtains alike, while the vertical repeat of about 22cm and horizontal repeat of about 45cm keeps the stripe rhythm orderly. The overall tone is light and airy, but the darker accent stripes give Mambo Ivory a sharper, more tailored edge than a plain cream cloth. Care code Q 8 + W 3 and fire code Z are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Mambo Ivory works well on relaxed dining chairs, occasional upholstery or full-length curtains where the vertical stripe can draw the eye upward. Its warm ivory base pairs neatly with blond wood, blackened metal and other quiet neutrals.

Use with oak, aged brass or charcoal accents for a softly tailored look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Mambo Ivory without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
