About this fabric

This colourway is a plain velvet with a dense-looking surface and a restrained directional sheen visible across the swatch. The rich terracotta tone leans towards rust and burgundy rather than bright orange, giving it a warm, enveloping character. As a velvet, it is best suited to upholstery, where the shifting nap can add depth to chairs, sofas and headboards. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair this deep rust terracotta with aged timber, tobacco leather and warm neutrals for a cocooning scheme. Used on a statement chair or sofa, its dark red-brown tone brings substantial colour without a busy pattern.

Use this deep rust terracotta velvet to bring warmth, depth and a softly luxurious finish to upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
