Scratch Green

Fabrics Fabric70

Scratch Green combines a subdued olive-green ground with pale grey, loosely drawn marks that suggest overlapping leaves, stems and branches. Its woven surface gives the colourway a softly textured, low-glare appearance.

About this fabric

The fabric is visibly woven, with the olive ground reading as a cool, greyed green rather than a bright or yellow green. Pale grey strokes form an irregular, all-over botanical network, with denser crossings alongside quieter areas of ground. The restrained contrast keeps the pattern legible while giving the swatch a layered, graphic depth. No further composition, width or performance specification is supplied for this fabric, so its suitability should be confirmed against the intended upholstery or drapery application.

How to use it

Use Scratch Green where a room needs colour without high saturation: it works particularly well with chalky grey, aged oak, natural stone and brushed metal. The pale grey pattern can also be echoed in plain cushions or curtains to soften the olive tone.

Pair the muted olive ground with warm timber, stone and soft grey accents for a quietly layered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
