Iris Wall Bordeaux

Fire-retardant Fabric026

Iris Wall Bordeaux is a deep Bordeaux-red textile with a densely lined surface. Fine horizontal ribs create a subtly tactile finish across the swatch, giving the colour depth rather than a flat, bright red appearance.

About this fabric

This fabric is Iris Wall Bordeaux from Dedar’s Fire-retardant collection; no further composition, width or rub-test specification is supplied for this colourway. The shade reads as a dark wine red, with a rich, slightly cool depth that becomes more nuanced where the light catches the ribbed face. Closely spaced horizontal lines run consistently across the swatch, adding understated movement without introducing a separate motif. Its dense-looking, fine-ribbed surface reads as suitable for either upholstery or drapery based on the visible weave.

How to use it

Use Bordeaux as a strong accent on an upholstered chair, bench or occasional cushion, pairing it with warm timber, muted stone and aged brass. For drapery, its deep wine tone will create a more enveloping look against pale walls while the horizontal ribbing adds quiet texture.

The deep Bordeaux tone and fine horizontal ribbing bring rich colour with a quietly tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
