Satin fabrics Fabric018

Gildo Opera is a saturated crimson-red satin with an almost plain appearance and a gentle tonal shift across the surface. Its fine, smooth face catches the light softly rather than appearing highly glossy.

About this fabric

The swatch is a vivid crimson red, with a slightly darker edge and subtle variations that give the broad colour field depth. A fine, closely woven texture is visible across the surface, while the satin finish lends it a restrained sheen. There is no discernible printed motif, making the colour and light response the defining features of this Dedar fabric. Its smooth, fluid-looking handle is particularly well suited to drapery applications.

How to use it

Use Gildo Opera at a window where its strong crimson tone can act as a dramatic focal point, pairing it with warm neutrals, dark wood or softly aged metallics. In a quieter scheme, use it as a single saturated red accent against chalky or stone-coloured walls.

Use this rich crimson satin to bring a vivid, softly lustrous accent to elegant curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
