About this fabric

The close-up reveals long, closely packed fringe strands gathered beneath a raised braided header. Fine fibres catch the light in bright ruby-red flashes, while the recessed folds deepen to burgundy and oxblood. The substantial, decorative construction makes this textile particularly suited to upholstery trim, where its repeated fringe edge can frame the silhouette of a chair, sofa or ottoman. No composition, width or performance specification was supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use the deep Bordeaux colourway against charcoal, walnut or warm neutral upholstery, allowing the glossy fringe to define a cushion edge, pelmet or chair skirt. Pair it with matte surfaces so the red highlights remain the focal detail.

Use the dense, glossy Bordeaux fringe to edge upholstered seating, cushions or decorative panels with a richly tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
