Gimel Perla presents a pale grey surface with a dense, softly irregular texture. The close-up swatch shows a quiet blend of cool grey and warmer off-white flecks rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

The fabric has a compact, nubby construction, with small rounded loops creating a tactile surface across the swatch. Its Perla colour reads as a light grey softened by subtle cream and taupe notes, giving the cloth more depth than a flat plain weave. Fine changes in the loops catch the light unevenly, producing a gently mottled appearance without a defined pattern. The dense, substantial-looking texture makes it particularly convincing for upholstered furniture.

How to use it

Use this pale warm-grey colourway on a sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard where its softly mottled surface can add texture without imposing strong colour. Pair it with chalky whites, pale timber and muted taupes for a calm, layered scheme.

Its pale, softly flecked grey texture brings a calm, tactile finish to upholstered seating and headboards.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
