Ginostra Dark Grey

Fabrics Fabric97

Ginostra Dark Grey is a deep charcoal textile with a finely grained woven surface. Its near-black grey tone absorbs much of the light, while the small directional texture keeps the swatch from appearing flat.

About this fabric

The swatch shows a tightly formed, fine-scale weave in a cool dark grey that shifts subtly between charcoal and softer graphite as the surface catches the light. There is no contrasting motif; the visual interest comes from the closely packed texture and faint directional movement within the cloth. Its dense, structured appearance makes it particularly suited to upholstery, where the deep tone can give a piece a grounded, tailored presence.

How to use it

Use Ginostra Dark Grey on a sofa, armchair or dining seat when you want a cool, near-black foundation rather than a warm brown or soft mid-grey. Balance its depth with pale stone, chalky upholstery or warm timber so the fine weave remains visible.

Use this deep charcoal grey as a grounding upholstery tone, pairing its fine woven texture with lighter woods or soft neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
