Lorelle Charcoal/Linen

Botanica Fabric FabricCCF0217-01

Lorelle Charcoal/Linen places finely detailed charcoal fern and seedhead forms over a softly textured linen-coloured ground. The low-contrast palette gives the botanical arrangement a cool, atmospheric quality while allowing the woven surface to remain visible.

About this fabric

This 368gsm fabric has a substantial mid-weight handle, making it suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The visible ground is a warm, pale linen tone with a subtle crosshatched weave, while the botanical stems and fern fronds appear in softly variegated charcoal rather than a flat, harsh black. The 48cm vertical and 67cm horizontal pattern repeats give the scattered foliage a considered rhythm across the 134cm usable width. Each 40m standard length provides ample material for coordinating larger applications.

How to use it

Pair the charcoal-and-linen colourway with chalky whites, weathered timber and cool grey upholstery for a quiet botanical scheme. On curtains or a statement chair, its softly shadowed fronds add pattern without overwhelming the room.

Use the charcoal fern silhouettes to bring quiet botanical contrast to upholstered seating, curtains or cushions against warm neutral finishes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Lorelle Charcoal/Linen without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
