Abelia Smoke

Botanist FabricCCF0459-08

Abelia Smoke has a cool, smoky charcoal-grey ground with fine irregular markings that give the surface a softly crumpled, dimensional appearance. The subdued tone reads as deep and atmospheric rather than stark black.

About this fabric

The 580gsm weight reinforces the substantial look of this textured fabric, making it well suited to upholstery. Across the grey surface, darker and lighter threads form an organic, almost weathered tracery rather than a defined printed motif. Its 140cm usable width and 30m standard length provide practical coverage for larger upholstery projects. With a 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, the surface can be positioned without matching a repeating design.

How to use it

Use Abelia Smoke on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its cool charcoal tone can anchor pale woods, soft whites and brushed metal accents. The irregular texture adds quiet depth without introducing a strong directional pattern.

The weighty 580gsm fabric and shadowed texture suit upholstered seating in cool, contemporary rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
