About this fabric

The large floral composition is rendered in layered blue-grey strokes, with peonies, trailing foliage, berries and a long-tailed bird standing out clearly against the muted green ground. Subtle horizontal texture across the cloth softens the contrast and keeps the pattern from feeling overly bright. At 299 gsm with a 142 cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight fabric suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The 75.5 cm vertical repeat and 35.5 cm horizontal repeat allow the floral and bird motifs to read as a considered, continuous arrangement.

How to use it

Use the cool eau de nil ground to bring freshness to a pale, light-filled sitting room, where the blue-grey flowers can be picked up in piping, painted furniture or plain cushions. Its 75.5 cm vertical repeat is especially effective on curtains or a statement upholstered chair where the bird and floral arrangement can be properly shown.
