Sissinghurst Eau De Nil combines a pale, cool eau de nil ground with an abundant botanical arrangement of peonies, leaves, sprigs and small blue-green flowers. The softly textured surface gives the design a gently timeworn character, while the deeper teal and slate accents bring definition to the light colourway.

About this fabric

This 340gsm fabric has a substantial woven handle, with a fine linear texture visible beneath the illustrated floral and foliage motifs. Large peony-like blooms, broad veined leaves and curling stems are picked out in muted teal, sage, dusty blue, taupe and warm brown against the green-grey ground. The pattern has a 60cm vertical repeat and a 91.5cm horizontal repeat, allowing the larger botanical forms to remain prominent across a width of 140cm. Its measured scale and softly contrasted palette make the design suitable for coordinated upholstery and drapery applications.

How to use it

Use this cool eau de nil colourway to soften a traditional sitting room, pairing it with chalky painted wood, natural linen and deeper teal accents. On a chair or occasional sofa, the blue-green blooms can be echoed in cushions without losing the quieter tone of the ground.
