About this fabric

This 479gsm woven fabric has a substantial handle suited to upholstery, with a usable width of 136 cm and a standard length of 40 m. Its stripe arrangement repeats horizontally every 11 cm, while the vertical pattern repeat is 0 cm, creating continuous upright lines across the width. The dominant natural-beige tone reads warm and softly muted, with pale cream lines lifting the ground and narrow charcoal stripes adding definition. A subtle crosswise-and-lengthwise weave remains visible through the colour, giving the otherwise orderly stripe a gently textured finish.

How to use it

Use the warm natural ground on a sofa, headboard or dining chair, balancing its pale cream and taupe bands with timber, chalky walls and the occasional charcoal accent. The darker pinstripes make this neutral colourway especially effective where a soft room scheme needs a little graphic structure.

Use this warm oatmeal stripe on upholstered seating where its charcoal pinstripes can sharpen an otherwise softly neutral scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sackville Stripe Natural without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
