About this fabric

The colourway is built around cool, deep midnight blue, softened by natural cream bands and warmed with restrained spice-red pinstripes. Its tightly woven surface has a lightly irregular, tactile appearance, with the crossweave visible across both the dark and pale stripes. At 479 gsm and 136 cm usable width, it has the substantial presence expected of an upholstery fabric. The vertical stripe layout has no vertical repeat and an 11 cm horizontal repeat, while the standard length is 40 m.

How to use it

Use Midnight/Spice on a tailored armchair, headboard or bench where the midnight blue can anchor a room; pick up the spice-red lines in a small cushion or trim and balance them with warm cream textiles.

Use the deep midnight stripes with warm spice-red and cream accents to bring tailored contrast to upholstery or structured furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
