Sissinghurst Heather/Olive

Castle Garden FabricCCF0190-04

Sissinghurst Heather/Olive combines a pale, greyed olive ground with intricate heather-mauve florals and finely drawn foliage. The softly shaded palette gives the large botanical composition a quietly aged, garden-inspired character.

About this fabric

This 340gsm woven fabric has a detailed floral trail, with oversized blooms, curling stems and layered leaves picked out in muted mauve, olive, taupe and soft charcoal lines. Its 140cm usable width and substantial mid-weight handle make it suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The pattern has a 60cm vertical repeat and 91.5cm horizontal repeat, so the large botanical forms will read clearly across a chair, headboard or full-length curtain. Supplied in a standard 40m length, it offers ample continuity for coordinated furnishing projects.

How to use it

Use the cool, softened olive ground on an occasional chair, Roman blind or curtains, then echo the heather-mauve flowers with dusty plum cushions or painted furniture. Pale stone, linen and aged wood will keep the intricate pattern feeling calm rather than busy.

Pair the softly weathered olive ground with warm neutrals, aged timber and muted plum accents for a collected country-house scheme.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Sissinghurst Heather/Olive without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
