About this fabric

The colour reads as a restrained taupe, closer to warm dove grey and pale brown than to beige. A fine, softly brushed pile is visible across the face, with subtle tonal variation where the light catches the nap. As a velvet fabric, it is best suited to upholstery, particularly where a calm, tactile finish is wanted. No composition, width or performance figures were supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Dante Tortora on an armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard to bring a softly warm grey-brown note into the room. Its muted tone works especially well with natural timber, chalky walls and deeper brown or charcoal accents.

A softly brushed taupe velvet with a calm, understated presence for upholstered seating and furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
