About this fabric

Libertino Prugna is catalogued as a velvet, and no further composition, width, rub-test or performance data has been supplied for this colourway. In the swatch, an almost-black aubergine-plum tone creates a deep, cool-leaning field with very little colour variation. A faint directional nap softens the surface and gives the plain face subtle tonal movement, rather than a visible motif.

How to use it

Use this deep plum shade on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard where its dark tone can read as moody rather than brightly purple. Pair it with charcoal, smoked timber, aged brass or soft stone neutrals to draw out the velvet’s depth.

Use this near-black plum velvet to give upholstery a rich, atmospheric depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
