About this fabric

The colour sits between aubergine and brown, appearing almost charcoal at the deepest points while retaining a muted plum cast. A tightly packed, pebbled weave covers the surface, creating fine directional variation rather than a printed motif. The compact texture catches the light softly, giving the swatch a subtle, even depth across its dark face. Its visually substantial woven character makes it well suited to upholstery, where the rich colour can add weight and definition to a chair, sofa or headboard.

How to use it

Use Lupo Plum on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its cool, dark plum depth can anchor a room. Balance it with chalky neutrals, warm timber and brushed metal so the textured surface remains quietly visible rather than reading as flat black.

Use this deep, dark plum upholstery to bring warmth and depth to seating, especially alongside timber, aged brass or soft neutral walls.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
