About this fabric

The cool, almost icy ground gives the intense magenta pink figures a crisp contrast, while darker linework adds depth to the lions, birds, butterflies and curling flowers. The 222 gsm weight and 137 cm usable width make this a versatile mid-weight textile for upholstery or drapery. Its pattern repeats over 56.5 cm vertically and 69 cm horizontally, creating a considered rhythm across the densely illustrated surface. A standard length of 40 m is supplied, and no performance features are noted.

How to use it

Use Extinct Magenta on a statement chair, curtain or accent cushion where its saturated pink-red animals can provide a strong focal point. Balance the colourway with pale blue-grey, ivory or soft charcoal furnishings drawn from its cool ground and dark linework.

Pair the saturated magenta illustrations with pale, cool neutrals to let the detailed animal scene stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
