Extinct Gold places finely drawn lions, birds, monkeys, insects and botanical scrolls across a warm ivory ground. Graphite-grey linework gives the design its definition, while small gold motifs add restrained flashes of colour.

About this fabric

The composition is densely populated with symmetrical lions, crested birds, a central monkey, butterflies, beetles, jewels and curling stems, creating a large-scale illustrated arrangement rather than a plain ground. Its warm ivory background keeps the overall impression light, while graphite and near-black detailing supply depth and the pale gold accents catch the eye as individual highlights. At 222 gsm, this is a versatile mid-weight textile suited to both upholstery and drapery. It has a 137 cm usable width, a 56.5 cm vertical repeat and a 69 cm horizontal repeat, with a standard length of 40 m.

How to use it

Use Extinct Gold where its warm ivory base can brighten a room without losing visual richness, such as a statement chair, occasional upholstery or full-length curtains. Echo the graphite drawing in dark wood or blackened metal, and pick up the gold details with aged brass accents.

Use the warm ivory ground and restrained gold detailing to bring an illustrated, collected feel to upholstery or curtains.
