Extinct Pink

Extinct Pink brings Emma Shipley’s fantastical Animalia imagery onto a pale blush-pink ground. Grey-striped lions, winged birds, swans, a monkey and jewel-like motifs create a detailed, storybook composition.

About this fabric

The cool blush-pink background gives this colourway a softened, airy quality, while charcoal and silver-grey linework supplies definition around the lions, feathers, birds and curling botanical forms. Muted rose, mauve and ruby-pink accents appear in the faceted gems, wings and small illustrated details, adding depth without losing the delicate overall tone. With a 222 gsm weight and 137 cm usable width, the fabric is a versatile mid-weight choice for upholstery or drapery. The design has a 56.5 cm vertical repeat and 69 cm horizontal repeat, with a standard length of 40 m for larger-scale planning.

How to use it

Pair Extinct Pink with dove grey, chalk white and aged silver to draw out its cool blush ground and grey illustration, or use deep berry accents to echo the jewel-toned details. Its large repeat is particularly effective on a statement chair, upholstered headboard or full-length curtains.

Use the dusty pink ground with soft grey upholstery, pale timber and brushed metal for a richly illustrated, collected interior.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Extinct Pink without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
