About this fabric

This 340gsm velvet has a substantial feel suited to upholstery, with a 138cm usable width and a 40m standard length. The design is richly detailed: paired winged lions dominate the upper and lower sections, while birds, monkeys, butterflies, insects and faceted jewel shapes fill the dark navy field. Turquoise and emerald accents bring luminous colour, while the silver-grey animal illustration keeps the overall effect cool and nocturnal. Its large repeat measures 56.5cm vertically by 69cm horizontally, so the placement of the major creatures should be considered carefully when cutting.

How to use it

Use this navy colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa where its cool turquoise and emerald accents can be picked up in plain cushions or painted joinery. The deep ground gives particularly strong definition to rooms using silver-grey, charcoal or jewel-green details.

The ink navy ground gives the vivid turquoise, emerald and silver-grey creatures a richly theatrical backdrop.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
