About this fabric

The dark blue linework gives the design a crisp, engraved appearance, while the pale ground keeps the detailed composition visibly light rather than heavily saturated. The 56.5 cm vertical and 69 cm horizontal repeats give the lions, birds and central owl a generous, room-defining scale. At 222 gsm, this is a versatile mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. It has a 137 cm usable width and a standard length of 40 m.

How to use it

Use the cool ink-blue and pale ground to bring an elegant, collected feel to a reading chair, headboard or full-length curtains. Keep surrounding finishes quiet so the lions, birds and scrolling flora remain the focal point.

A cool, richly illustrated blue textile that brings an ornate, storybook character to upholstery, curtains and accent pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
