Arran FR Slate Blue

Alderney Fabric

Arran FR Slate Blue has a tight, clearly woven surface with a cool blue-grey cast that reads more slate than sky. The finish feels quietly textured, with the weave catching the light in soft, granular highlights.

About this fabric

This colourway sits in a restrained slate blue-grey, with enough depth to feel grounded and enough coolness to keep it crisp. The visible weave is compact and even, giving the fabric a tidy, tailored look rather than a soft brushed surface. Made from 100% polyester and supplied at 140cm wide, it has no pattern repeat, which keeps the cloth visually calm across larger upholstered pieces. The muted tonal variation in the weave adds movement without turning the design busy, so the overall effect stays smart and versatile.

How to use it

Use it on an armchair, banquette or tailored headboard where the cool slate tone can anchor lighter woods and pale neutrals. It also works well with brushed metal accents and deeper blue accessories for a layered, contemporary scheme.

A cool, understated slate tone that pairs neatly with pale oak, chalk white and muted navy accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
