About this fabric

Woven in 100% BCI Cotton and measuring 140cm wide, Chelsea Indigo is a plain fabric with no visible pattern repeat, making the cloth's texture and colour the main feature. In the image, the indigo tone sits in a dark blue range with a slightly softened finish, so it looks crisp rather than glossy. The fine crosswise weave gives the surface a tidy, understated grain that suits close-up viewing on upholstery or drapery. Care is marked AQW1<, so it is a fabric to handle with the specified cleaning guidance in mind.

How to use it

Use this indigo as a smart anchor against pale woods, chalky whites or brushed metal, where its depth can bring contrast without overpowering the room. It works especially well on tailored cushions, a bench seat or lined curtains when you want a calm, architectural blue.

A crisp indigo plain that adds depth without feeling heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
