About this fabric

This colourway of Marlow FR has a light, gently chalky grey base that gives the design an easy, understated look. The leaf shapes are outlined in a slightly deeper taupe-grey, so the pattern reads clearly but stays restrained across the cloth. Woven in 100% polyester and measuring 140cm wide, it has the practicality of a modern furnishing fabric, with a 30cm vertical by 35cm horizontal repeat that helps the motif flow smoothly across larger pieces. The overall effect is smart and versatile, with the soft tonal contrast making it especially easy to coordinate with pale woods, stone finishes and muted upholstery schemes.

How to use it

Use this dove grey on a tailored armchair, banquette or scatter cushions where the leaf pattern can add movement without overpowering the room. It also works well beside crisp white, putty or warm oak, where the cool-leaning grey keeps the palette fresh.

A calm dove grey that sits neatly in contemporary schemes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Marlow FR Dove without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
