Carnaby Mink

Magma Fabric

Carnaby Mink is a quietly tailored plain fabric with a warm mink-taupe look and a softly mottled surface. The finish feels understated and calm, with just enough texture to stop the colour reading flat.

About this fabric

Woven in 59% cotton and 41% polyester, Carnaby Mink has the practical balance of a mixed-fibre fabric while keeping a natural, textile-led appearance. The 140cm width makes it an easy choice for larger upholstery drops or full-length drapery panels, and the pattern repeat is n/a because the design is a plain. Visually, the colour sits in a muted taupe-brown range with a gentle warmth that softens in low light and shows a slightly warmer cast where the weave catches the light. The fine horizontal texture gives the surface a subtle grain, adding depth without any strong contrast or shine.

How to use it

Use it with walnut timber, smoked brass and linen neutrals for a layered, grown-up scheme. Its soft mink tone also sits well with deeper olive or charcoal accents when you want the room to feel grounded.

A versatile taupe that works quietly across upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
