About this fabric

Carnaby Noir from Fryett's Fabrics’ Magma collection is a 59% cotton, 41% polyester fabric supplied at 140cm wide, with no pattern repeat. In the swatch it appears as a very deep charcoal black, with subtle tonal variation that softens the darkness and stops it looking flat. The fine weave gives the surface a gentle, textile-led texture, while the overall effect remains sleek and restrained. With no performance features noted, it is best considered for interiors where the colour and woven hand are the main design statement.

How to use it

Use this shade to sharpen pale upholstery, or pair it with warm timber and brass for a confident, tailored scheme. Its near-black tone also works well as a grounding accent on cushions, ottomans and statement chairs.

A quiet, dark grounding fabric that works beautifully on tailored seating and sleek cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
