Heritage Panama Noir

Helix Fabric

Heritage Panama Noir is a deep, near-black cotton with a quietly matte look and a close plain weave. In the swatch, the tone reads as softened charcoal rather than a stark jet black.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton and supplied at 140cm wide, Heritage Panama Noir has a simple, tightly worked surface with no visible repeat. The fabric’s dark noir shade absorbs light, but the weave still gives it a subtle grain and a faintly dry, natural finish. That understated texture keeps the colour from looking flat, giving the swatch a tailored, disciplined feel. With no performance features noted, it is best considered a decorative cotton for schemes that want depth without shine.

How to use it

This dark charcoal works well on clean-lined upholstery, where its low sheen and plain weave can anchor a room without visual noise. Pair it with ivory, smoked oak or warm metal accents to sharpen the black tone.

Use with pale woods or brass to lift the depth of the black.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
