This fabric from Fryett's Fabrics' Magma collection is composed of 59% cotton and 41% polyester, with a width of 140cm and no repeat to consider. The visible surface has a fine, textile-led texture with faint slubs and horizontal lines that soften the solid colour. Carnaby Plum sits in a dusky, saturated purple family, with low sheen and a slightly smoky cast that makes it feel more tailored than flashy. It is a versatile cloth for schemes that want colour but still need a restrained finish.

How to use it
