Rosslyn Park Fabric

Waulkmill Purple presents a deep plum-purple ground in a close, tactile weave. Fine raised zigzags repeat across the surface, with darker recesses giving the colour extra depth.

About this fabric

The small-scale chevron pattern is formed by raised woven lines, creating a softly ridged surface rather than a flat printed design. Its wine-leaning purple tone appears rich and shaded, with the texture catching light across the diagonal marks. The close, substantial-looking weave makes this colourway upholstery-leaning. No composition, width, rub test or additional performance features have been supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this deep plum colourway on an occasional chair, headboard or tailored ottoman where its compact zigzag texture can be seen at close range. Balance the saturated purple with chalky beige, aged timber or smoky grey.

Pair the deep plum tone with warm neutrals, dark wood and softly contrasting textures.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Waulkmill Purple without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
