Rosslyn Damson

Rosslyn Park Fabric

Rosslyn Damson has a deep damson-purple ground with softly shifting olive and muted gold patterning woven through its surface. The close-up reveals a tactile, closely grained construction that gives the colour gentle variation rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

Broad, irregular organic forms move across the fabric in low-contrast bands, creating a large-scale pattern that feels atmospheric and quietly expressive. Fine olive and subdued gold threads catch within the purple ground, adding a mossy, antique warmth to the otherwise rich damson tone. The tightly textured weave gives the surface visible depth and a softly nubby character, with the pattern appearing to drift in and out of focus across the cloth.

How to use it

Use Rosslyn Damson on an accent chair, sofa or footstool where its saturated purple tone can provide depth. Echo the olive-gold flecks with aged brass, olive paint or warm timber rather than introducing bright, high-contrast accents.

Pair the damson ground with warm timber, olive accents and aged brass for a richly layered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
