Inchcolm Abbey Fabric

Crammond Plum is a deep, dusky plum textile with a softly mottled surface. Its dark purple tone shifts subtly across the close-woven texture, creating quiet visual depth without a visible motif.

About this fabric

The close view shows an unpatterned fabric in a saturated plum shade, balanced between purple and burgundy. Fine irregular fibres give the surface a gently napped, tactile appearance rather than a flat finish. The depth of colour makes the cloth feel intimate and luxe, while the subdued variation keeps it from appearing glossy or stark. This dense-looking texture is particularly well suited to upholstered furniture where the rich colour can become a deliberate focal point.

How to use it

Use Crammond Plum on a reading chair, ottoman or compact sofa to bring enveloping purple depth into a room. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and pale mineral neutrals to temper its dark, wine-like richness.

A deep, softly mottled plum with tactile depth, suited to statement upholstery and richly layered rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
