Montrose Melton Cinnamon

Inchcolm Abbey Fabric

Montrose Melton Cinnamon is a close, softly mottled surface in a warm cinnamon-orange, with fine ochre and rust variation dispersed through the ground. The even, felted-looking texture gives the swatch quiet depth rather than a drawn motif.

About this fabric

This colourway has a distinctly warm, earthy orange-cinnamon base, enlivened by pale ochre flecks and darker rust traces. Its compact, brushed-looking surface appears substantial and visually soft, making it a natural choice for upholstered furniture. The restrained, non-directional texture has no obvious decorative repeat, so the colour and surface remain the focus. No composition, width, rub test or performance feature is supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use the warm cinnamon tone to bring depth to an armchair, footstool or sofa, pairing it with natural timber, aged leather and muted cream or ochre accents. Its fine mottling can also soften stronger rust, terracotta and amber furnishings without introducing a separate pattern.

A dense, softly mottled cinnamon-orange surface with ochre warmth, well suited to tactile upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
