Bonnyrigg Mauve

Rosslyn Park Fabric

Bonnyrigg Mauve is a close-up woven textile in a subdued mauve-purple, with lilac and grey threads giving the surface a softly variegated appearance. Fine diagonal ridges form a restrained herringbone texture across the cloth.

About this fabric

The closely packed weave gives Bonnyrigg Mauve a tactile, softly raised surface rather than a flat colour. Muted mauve is blended with lilac, grey and subtle brownish threads, creating gentle depth as the light moves across the diagonal structure. The small-scale herringbone effect remains quiet and refined, allowing the colour to lead. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this cool, dusky mauve on an occasional chair, headboard or tailored sofa where its lilac-grey variation can add colour without becoming vivid. Pair it with chalky neutrals, aged wood and soft grey upholstery for a calm, considered scheme.

Use this softly muted mauve with warm neutrals, weathered timber or brushed metal for an understated upholstered finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
