About this fabric

From Fryett's Fabrics' Magma collection, Carnaby Saffron is a 140cm-wide fabric made from 59% cotton and 41% polyester. Its plain surface has a fine, lightly slubbed weave that gives the saffron-gold colour extra depth without any printed or woven motif. The tone sits between mustard and amber, with a warm, sunlit character that feels saturated rather than bright. With no repeat to match, it is a straightforward choice for straightforward making up, and the cotton-polyester blend suggests a practical everyday textile.

How to use it

Use this saffron shade to bring warmth to a mid-century chair, bench seat or tailored cushions, especially against walnut, dark oak or charcoal finishes. It also works well in rooms that need a hit of colour without moving into strong orange.

A warm saffron tone that adds depth without overpowering a scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
