About this fabric

This colourway has a strong paprika-red tone with a slight berry depth, softened by the visible linen-and-cotton texture across the surface. It is a plain fabric from Fryett's Fabrics' Plains & Semi Plains collection, and its 140cm width makes it practical for a range of interior projects. The composition of 45% cotton, 38% linen and 17% viscose gives it a natural-looking handle and a subtle lived-in finish rather than a flat, uniform colour. With no performance features noted, it reads as a decorative upholstery or drapery cloth rather than a technical fabric.

How to use it

Pair this warm red with oak, dark walnut or brushed brass for a confident scheme, or soften it with chalky neutrals and textured linens. It works especially well on an accent chair, bench seat or curtains where the colour can bring warmth without a pattern competing for attention.

Use for tailored upholstery or soft curtains when you want a bold, warm accent.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
