Liana Navy

Plains & Semi Plains Fabric

Liana Navy is a quietly rich plain fabric with a deep blue-black cast and a soft, matte surface. The colour reads as a serious navy rather than a bright blue, with the weave giving it a calm, tailored look.

About this fabric

This plain fabric from the Plains & Semi Plains collection is woven in 45% cotton, 38% linen and 17% viscose, giving it the relaxed handle and gentle texture you can see in the close, even surface. At 140cm wide, it is a practical cloth for many interior projects, and the absence of a repeat keeps the look clean and uninterrupted. The navy tone is dark and atmospheric, with just enough lift in the weave to stop it feeling flat. It sits firmly in the cooler end of the palette, making it feel sharper and more contemporary than a softer indigo or denim blue. Care instructions are NQT1<.

How to use it

Use Liana Navy where you want a strong anchor colour: it pairs neatly with pale oak, chalky neutrals and brushed metal. In a room, the shade works especially well on tailored upholstery or full-length curtains that need depth without pattern.

A deep navy plain that brings crisp depth to upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

Liana Navy is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
