About this fabric

The swatch shows a plain weave with fine vertical and horizontal variation, giving the surface a natural linen slub and gentle tonal depth. Its spruce-olive colour has a cool, weathered cast, with the weave catching the light in slightly lighter and darker threads. Woven from 95% linen and 5% nylon, it is 140 cm wide and suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The 40,000 Martindale rub test supports upholstery use; care requires professional dry cleaning, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Pair this muted spruce olive with chalky neutrals, warm timber and aged brass for a relaxed, grounded scheme. Used on a chair or sofa, it brings colour without the visual weight of a deep forest green; as curtains, its greyed tone will sit quietly against pale walls.

Use this greyed spruce olive as a calm, textural ground for upholstery, curtains or layered bed linens.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
